Using a "flood the zone" approach to distracting from his failures on the economy and the public focus on the release of the Epstein-Trump files in December, the reckless and corrupt Malignant Fascist is escalating his rhetoric and the military buildup against Venezuela. From The Guardian:
"Trump has been escalating pressure on Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, and has now labelled him and government allies as members of a foreign terrorist organization.
That designation is another step towards criminalizing Maduro – analysts say it could pressure Maduro into stepping down with the threat of military force.
It also potentially gives the US expanded military options for striking within the country, US media is reporting." (our emphasis)
Positioning a carrier task force off the coast of Venezuela and not ruling out using land forces to invade Venezuela is a bullying tactic of the MF, who at the same time says he want to dialogue with Maduro (the pattern of behavior he used with Kim Jong-Un in his first term). His extrajudicial attacks on mainly Venezuelan boats that the MF has claimed to be drug runners has sparked anger in the region, as well as here in the U.S.
Since he's returned to office, he's threatened Denmark over not wanting to "sell" Greenland to the U.S., told Nigeria that the U.S. will intervene if Christians there continued to be killed, and created many more diversions from his domestic and personal difficulties. The conflict with Venezuela, however, would be a bloody one and one which will turn more Latin American countries, including our allies there, against us as the MF practices gun boat diplomacy from the last century.
