A person who knows him well, psychologist and niece of the mentally ill Malignant Fascist Mary Trump, comments on the MF's vile attack on the murdered Reiners, and on confronting the cult that has no "red line" and still supports him. From her Substack article:
"Congratulations, Donald. Once again, you have gone out of your way to prove, to anyone who doesn’t already know, that you are a depraved, deviant, damaged little man who cannot bear the thought that there are people in this world who are talented, valued, and loved—three things you are not. You cannot stomach the thought that anybody else, for any reason, would take the spotlight. And who are you without that? The most fitting punishment for you would be a mirrorless room without access to the internet or sycophants who continue to believe or pretend to believe that anything you do or say matters. You are beyond redemption. [snip]
There are many, many people in this country for whom there seems to be no line. They love how cruel Donald is to immigrants; they love that he keeps attacking trans people; they love that he indiscriminately blows people up in the Caribbean Sea, so they put up with his petty vindictiveness, his obscene attacks on private citizens, and his inhumane cruelties.
It’s time that we start interrogating these people. Why are they ok with Donald’s depravities, corruption, and grifting?" (our emphasis)
It's moments like his vicious post on the murder of the Reiners that spotlight the MF's mental illness and psychopathic behavior, which he's having increasing difficulty in hiding from the public. To most in his cult, it won't matter, but we need to keep making them accountable for putting this monster in office...twice.
🗜🤬 Trump is the vise that Republicans put themselves into in 2015 and even those who have tried to speak out after his sick words directed at Rob Reiner cannot get out of it! Every tightening of the vise was their own doing and now the vise is rusted shut!
ReplyDeleteThe clinical mental issues Trump has are not the fault of Republicans; his family did that work starting nearly 80 years ago. Age, lousy diet, and severe health issues Trump lies to himself about are accelerating his problems and the only real surprise will be if his mind and body allow him to survive to the end of this Presidential term.
The news is rife this morning with calls that "we cannot allow this disgusting behavior to become normalized!" 😤 Are they kidding me? It is normalized! This isn't just a symptom of advancing dementia. Every vote Trump received after his ride down the escalator normalized it! Every standing ovation after a Trump demand for violence at his own rallies normalized it! Every dollar into the coffers of media and industries making their buck off of this behavior normalized it! Every citizen who has ever said "I hate his words and actions, but I like his policies" normalized it!
And, Democrats cannot let ourselves off the hook on that last one. A rift occurred in my family over the behavior of Bill Clinton in the WH and it has never been mended because we don't bring it up! I was stunned and angry when my relatives rationalized and compartmentalized a POTUS disrespecting his wife, his family, and his office! "Sure, it's bad behavior, but he's good-looking, he's cool, and he's a Democrat." That slippery slope was made out of BS and I stepped off. My family didn't. My brother told me that the behavior had nothing to do with ability to lead the nation. What?! My mother called Monica Lewinsky a slut but never judged Bill Clinton. What?! I answered "if Clinton so brazenly broke his wedding oath, how can I be sure his oath to the nation means anything?"
Of course Trump is exponentially worse than Clinton and we knew it way earlier. Even Trump's wives knew his vows were BS and we knew his oaths of office were BS (even MAGA knew). 💩
🤨 I sound like I'm being high and mighty, but I have no answers for this horrific time as the slope gets steeper and more slippery! I'm just trying to stay true to some basic values and trying to support others who do and fighting like hell against the Trump enablers!!
