Pope Leo XIV spoke to reporters after meeting with Ukrainian President Zelenskyy yesterday, and remarked specifically about the Malignant Fascist regime's effort to cut our European allies out of peace talks, and it's actions to weaken the US-European alliance in general.
“Seeking a peace agreement without including Europe in the talks is unrealistic, given the war is in Europe. Guarantees are also being sought for security today and in the future. Europe must be part of this, and unfortunately not everyone understands this, but I think there is a great opportunity for European leaders to unite and seek a solution together.”
“Unfortunately, I believe that some aspects of what I have seen would bring about a huge change in what has, for many, many years, been a true alliance between Europe and the United States.”
“[R]emarks that are made about Europe, also in interviews recently, I think, are trying to break apart what I think needs to be a very important alliance today and in the future.”
This Pope's starting to grow on us.
