Incompetent, thuggish self-styled Secretary of "War" Whiskey Pete Hegseth may be hearing a bus approach, as his involvement in the second strike "no quarter" war crime incident with an alleged Venezuelan drug boat has raised bipartisan anger among lawmakers, but a hedging defense by the corrupt Malignant Fascist. From The Guardian:
"Speaking to reporters on Air Force One yesterday, the president defended Hegseth, saying he believed his statement “100%” that he hadn’t ordered the second strike.
'I’m going to find out about it, but Pete said he did not order the death of those two men.'
When asked if he would have wanted a second attempt to kill the survivors, the president said:
'We’ll look into it, but no, I wouldn’t have wanted that – not a second strike. The first strike was very lethal.'
The Washington Post reported that Hegseth 'gave a spoken directive' to 'kill everybody' on board in September. When there were still two men left after the first strike, a Special Operations commander ordered the follow-up to comply with Hegseth’s direction, the newspaper reported." (our emphasis)
The MF has no real intention of looking into it, and is more likely to produce an exoneration of the thuggish Hegseth, which may be overtaken by events on Capitol Hill. Key Senate Committee chairs are vowing to hold hearings and put the chain of command under oath to determine who ordered what. If a Special Operations Commander (i.e. Navy Seal) said that Whiskey Pete ordered the second strike, we're 99.9% certain that he's being truthful, and that the Secretary of "War" is desperately lying, having committed a war crime. Stay tuned.
