Sichaun is a scenic and culturally significant province, with the rugged Wulong Mountains and powerful rivers, Chengdu's panda sanctuaries, and ancient temples and bustling towns. We don't think you've ever seen an irrigation system like Dujiangyan's, bordered by the shaded streets of the ancient city of Guanxian. The modern Sanxingdui Museum provides artifacts of a sophisticated Bronze Age civilization that flourished 3,000 years ago. Night life in Chongquing (Chungking), too, followed by a trip to the Wulong geologic park with spectacular limestone formations and arches (best part of the video for us). There's so much more (food, of course) in this Saturday morning getaway. Watch full screen!
Sichaun peppercorns toasted, crushed, and sprinkled on dinner are a treat for your tongue.
