The Malignant Fascist's attempt to position himself as a "peacemaker" around the world, while at the same time threatening war with Iran and profiting from "deals" with warring nations and others, was crystallized with his "Board of Peace," made up of him as self-appointed chairman and various second tier countries, many with authoritarian governments. Our major allies have declined to participate. Initially, the charter of the group was to take on the rebuilding of Gaza and create peace between belligerents Israel and the Palestinians. Since then, the MF has tried to usurp the role of the United Nations as peacekeepers, while demanding a $1 billion buy in for "permanent membership," with the corrupt MF controlling the funds. Their first formal meeting is today, as the Associated Press reports:
"U.S. President Donald Trump’s Board of Peace is set to meet for the first time on Thursday in Washington, an early test of whether one of his marquee foreign policy initiatives can gain broad support and advance the shaky ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip.
Trump’s ballooning ambitions for the board extend from governing and rebuilding Gaza as a futuristic metropolis to challenging the United Nations Security Council’s role in solving conflicts. But they could be tempered by the realities of dealing with Gaza, where there has so far been limited progress in achieving the narrower aims of the ceasefire.
Palestinians, including many civilians, are still being killed in near-daily strikes that Israel says are aimed at militants who threaten or attack its forces. Hamas hasn’t disarmed, no international forces have deployed, and a Palestinian committee meant to take over from Hamas is stuck in neighboring Egypt.
'If this meeting does not result in fast, tangible improvements on the ground — and particularly on the humanitarian front — its credibility will quickly crumble,' said Max Rodenbeck, Israel-Palestine Project Director at the International Crisis Group, a global think tank." (our emphasis)
That assumes this creation of the MF's megalomania had credibility to begin with. The MF, whose racist-based envy of former President Obama's Nobel Peace Prize win is a total obsession, wants to be seen as a worthy candidate for that honor, despite his alignment with war criminal Vladimir Putin, his kidnapping of Venezuela's Nicolás Maduro, his threats to seize Greenland from Denmark, his violent immigration crackdown in the U.S. and, lately, his growing threats of war against Iran.
What makes his effort especially odious is using the cover of peace negotiations to set up business "deals" with the parties involved that would line his pockets and those of his family and associates. The MF always wants quick gratification / successes, and this Board of lightweights with agendas of their own is setting him up for frustration and further humiliation as a clown on the international stage.
