The sackings in the delusional Malignant Fascist regime continues, as Navy Secretary John Phelan was fired yesterday by tattooed war bro Defense Secretary "Whiskey Pete" Hegseth. From Politico:
"Navy Secretary John Phelan abruptly left his job on Wednesday in part because a hugely expensive new battleship he championed sparked friction with his superiors — including Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.
Phelan, who served just over a year in his post, had helped conceive of the new battleships to curry favor with President Donald Trump, according to two people familiar with the matter.
The 'Trump Class' battleships were a major source of frustration for Hegseth and Deputy Secretary Stephen Feinberg because they did not serve the Pentagon’s broader strategy to pivot toward smaller, cheaper uncrewed ships, according to the two people, who, like others in this story, were granted anonymity to discuss sensitive matters."
The move comes after high profile firings by the MF's regime over the past several weeks have sparked fear among other appointees. FBI Director Kashyap "Kash" Patel, said to be on thin ice with the MF after reports of his misuse of Government resources and drinking habits, sued The Atlantic for reporting that he feared his firing was imminent. Phelan's acting replacement, Hung Cao, is an extreme MF zealot who lost the 2024 Virginia Senate race to Sen. Tim Kaine.
Whiskey Pete recently fired Army Chief of Staff Gen. Randy George. He is one of 13 military officers fired or forced to retire by the radical right wing Hegseth, as our military fights a war initiated by the MF against Iran.
