Operation Epic Epstein Fury's unpopularity --

Trump's all-encompassing corruption--
Sometimes, a scandal is so big you have to pick off one piece of it. So in the case of Trump's insane stock trading, pick this: He did 6 trades of Intel stock. That company now counts the US government as a $9 billion stakeholder, thanks to Trump's intervention. www.bloomberg.com/news/article...

Trump's white Christian nationalists rally ... while he golfed --
Trump sent in a pre-recorded video for the Rededicate 250 blasphemy fest instead of speaking in person, and he still could barely read it cogently (also, note him covering up the disfigured back of his right hand)

More rube- grifting; Trump's $500 Chinese phones --
Trump’s finally sending the rubes their golden phones and it looks like they’re obsolete Chinese deals that retail at Walmart for $136.

Explaining the Republican gutting of the Voting Rights Act --
The VRA *has always* been there to stop racial vote dilution, not to give Black people some kind of bonus districts. The reason we have the VRA (especially the 1982 version) is because Southern white politicians reliably define the political parties in such a way as to make sure Black voters lose.

Overcoming the Republican racial redistricting blitz --
📌BREAKING: -Trump’s approvals are at an all-time low 37% in NYT polling. -Dems lead 50%-39% among registered voters. -This would easily overcome the Republicans’ redistricting advantage. -The Senate is in play. -Democrats hold a 14-point lead among voters “almost certain” or “very likely” to vote.

"Fine" people in the rotted out Republican Party/ cult --
It truly is astonishing how many low character reprehensible creatures have been elected and appointed to the highest positions in America through the endorsement and backing of Trump throughout our federal and state governments.

Mount St. Helens, 5/18/1980 --
Loowit Awakens: March 20–May 17, 1980 Before May 18, there were 60 days of warning signs—earthquakes, ash bursts, and a growing bulge on the mountain’s north flank. Here’s the story of Mount St. Helens in 1980—up to today—condensed into two minutes.

I was fifty miles away, hooking logs to helicopters. We had a plan, we weren't unprepared, I saw as much of it as anyone could running like Hell for the LZ. Much of it very much like the best photos
ReplyDeleteFlying logs about ten miles crow from the Colombia River Gorge, thirty/thirty-five miles from Portland. We flew so close to the water we raised a rooster tail, and were in Portland with the helo hangered before the dust began to settle
Lost a couple friends there ...
Ten Bears -- thanks for sharing. That was a harrowing experience; glad you got out safely.
