Trump Asks SCOTUS To Let Ballroom Go Forward

After having been enjoined by a 3 judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit from continuing his golden ballroom / bunker vanity project, the mentally ill and delusional Malignant Fascist is asking his friends on the Supreme Court to let him continue construction pending an appeal.  From the Associated Press:

"President Donald Trump’s administration on Friday asked the U.S. Supreme Court to allow the White House to continue construction on its $400 million ballroom project while it appeals a lower court’s order to halt the work.

Trump’s solicitor general petitioned the high court to suspend last week’s decision by a three-judge panel from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.

The divided panel ruled last week Trump must stop the White House ballroom’s construction because Congress has not approved the project. The panel’s majority said Trump doesn’t have the unilateral authority to build a 90,000-square-foot (8,400-square-meter) ballroom where the White House’s East Wing stood before he ordered its demolition last fall.

The lower court suspended its own ruling for two weeks to give Trump’s Republican administration time to appeal to the Supreme Court. Solicitor General D. John Sauer asked the Supreme Court to rule on its stay petition before the appeals court panel’s decision takes effect on Aug. 21." (our emphasis)

The MF is obsessed with building structures or renaming other structures after himself as a legacy to help distract from his shameful two impeachments, his instigation of the January 6 insurrection, his 34 count felony charges, his adjudicated rape of E. Jean Carroll, and other crimes for which he has escaped accountability so far.  He spends an estimated 70% of his weak mind on those vanity projects and ones to come, not the war he started, not the economy he's tanked.

The Appeals Court majority rightfully pointed out to the MF in their opinion that he was a "tenant" in the White House, not its owner, and had no business demolishing the East Wing to construct his vanity ballroom.  Any Dem candidate for the presidency in 2028 needs to pledge to demolish the ballroom and restore the East Wing.  Stay tuned for the Republican SCOTUS' response.
