Now that it's Fall (in the Northern Hemisphere!), the first hints of yellow are showing in the tulip poplars, the sycamores are well along in dropping their leaves, while the oaks, hickories and other trees are holding on to their green for a while longer. "Autumn Leaves" is an American standard, performed in many genres, but we like trumpeter Chet Baker's jazz version, with contributions from an all-star band including Steve Gadd on drums, Paul Desmond on alto sax, Ron Carter on bass, and Bob James on piano. Hope you enjoy.
