After three days of complying with the traitorous Russian asset Malignant Fascist's demand that there be a ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia on energy facilities and refineries, while Russia continued its attacks, Ukraine hit a refinery in the Ryazan region. The report from the Associated Press:
"Ukrainian drones attacked a refinery in Russia’s Ryazan region early Thursday, hours after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that a brief truce spurned by Moscow was over amid deepening tensions with Washington.
The drone strike started a fire at the refinery about 300 kilometers (180 miles) southeast of Moscow, Russia’s Defense Ministry and Ryazan Gov. Pavel Malkov said. Russia’s Astra online news outlet posted what it said was a photograph of the blaze.
A senior Ukrainian official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he wasn’t authorized to speak publicly, confirmed that Ukraine had hit the refinery. [snip]
Zelenskyy was outraged by Russia’s continuing aerial bombardment of his country’s energy infrastructure in apparent defiance of Trump’s demand on Sunday for both sides to halt those attacks.
The Ukrainian government said that it was heeding the ceasefire, but Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Thursday that Ukraine never stopped its strikes on refineries that have hurt Russia. It wasn’t possible to independently verify each side’s claims." (our emphasis)
The MF has been trying to shift the blame for diesel shortages on Ukraine's attacks on Russia's oil refineries, when it was his war with Iran that choked off supplies from the Persian Gulf. In purchasing diesel from Russia, the MF is also violating the law that he signed imposing sanctions on Russian oil, and throwing his associate Putin a life line. His decision to buy diesel from Russia came shortly after another long phone conversation with Russian thug and war criminal Vladimir Putin.
Ukraine has also said that its use of the Starlink satellite system, owned by fascist Elon Musk's SpaceX, was being curtailed, undercutting Ukraine's defenses against Russian missile and drone attacks. Yesterday, Musk pointed the finger at the MF for the restrictions.
