The post- mid-term period is off to a good start. This looks like an epic Dementia Don bungle that ex-Chief of Staff Susie Wiles might have nipped in the bud (maybe letting this happen was her final eff you to the sub-moron?) that the corporate media is completely ignoring:
In what has to be a sign for the coming chaos, trump announced this morning that was offering the post of White House Press Secretary – the second most visible position in the White House – to the CEO of the Unlimited Fighting Championship (UFC), for . . . reasons. In a post on Truth Social, Trump said: “I am pleased to announce that the Great Dana White, a violent Fighter and Warrior, has been offered the job of Press Secretary of the United States.”
“We need these people to defend us against the Lunatic Left,” Trump wrote. “Dana will be a Press Secretary like none other. Dana, please take the job!”
Read that last sentence again: “Dana, please take the job!” That sounds very much like trump didn’t talk to Dana White first. If he had, CEO White would probably have explained to trump that he was asking the wrong Dana White. The most likely scenario is that people around trump were telling him Dana White would be a good choice – but they meant THIS Dana White:
Dana W. White served as the Assistant to the Secretary of Defense for Public Affairs. In this role, she was the principal staff assistant and advisor to the Secretary and Deputy Secretary of Defense for communications, news media relations, public outreach, engagement, public affairs and visual information. Ms. White served as the Pentagon Chief Spokesperson for both the Department of Defense and Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis.
Trump, however, seems to have thought they meant his friend Dana White...
Only the incredibly stupid, unserious Malignant Fascist would think for a moment that his staff meant the UFC's Dana White. But now that the bungle has played out in public, the White House has to act like the MF meant the unqualified, undoubtedly shocked UFC Dana White all along; we're expecting UFC White will decline the job formally on Monday when he comes to the White House to play along with the charade. Of course, this kills the qualified Dana White's chances for the job. Sad!
What an epic, epic shitshow.
