Chicken Hawks Cry "Battle Stations," Cont'd.

Apparently Wisconsin Gov. and Koch Industries' Employee of the Year Scott "Koch Head" Walker missed the flap a couple of weeks ago over John Ellis "J.E.B." Bush's gaffe over invading Iraq "knowing what we know now," or he's just as clueless and reckless as we think he is.  At age 22, Walker could have enlisted in the armed forces during the first Gulf War, having dropped out of college in the spring of 1990, but chose not to.

Koch Head's one of the top three leading contenders in the Rethuglican 2016 field -- some would say the top contender at this stage -- so will we hear more from the political press about this dope's statement?  Not counting on it.

BONUS:  As a reminder, here's a summary of the other Republican chicken shits hawks running for president who want to send someone else's child to war.

Chicken Hawks Cry "Battle Stations!"

In the coming months, as the Republican 2016 clown car's inhabitants jockey for room, there will be a competition of sorts to outdo one another in belligerent rhetoric toward ISIS and other foreign adversaries.  A lot of the rhetoric will be nutty and reckless, and it will be particularly galling coming from right wing chicken hawks who want to send America's men and women off to fight, but had other things to do when they had an opportunity to enlist and didn't.  Salon has a useful, if partial, list of some of the main offenders, starting with not-ready-for-prime-time Sen. Marco "Glug Glug" Rubio, who wants to get U.S. ground troops engaged with ISIS.  (Glug Glug is also the Rethugs' foreign policy wizard who thought that ISIS and Iran are allied with each other, which is the opposite of reality -- you know, that old Sunni vs. Shia thing).  Other 2016 warriors-in-their-own-minds  include tea bagging radical Sen. Ted "Tailgunner Ted" Cruz (Secession-TX), theocrat (but Papal critic) Rick "Frothy Mix" Santorum, and loudmouth bully Gov. Chris "Krispykreme" Christie (Glazed or Cake-NJ), all of whom are trying to appease the battered egos of the neocons who devised the catastrophic invasion of Iraq in 2003, and who still dominate the Rethuglican national security establishment.

Fortunately for this country, none of these chicken hawks look like winners in the Commander-In-Chief sweepstakes.  Fortunately for them, it's too late to enlist.

BONUS: A gold star dad confronted bomb-throwing wingnut Sen. Tom "Ear to Ear" Cotton over his calls for attacks on Iran and intervention in Syria.  More of this needs to happen.
