Weekend Holding Pattern Song

As many states and cities remain in a desperate holding pattern for life- saving ventilators and personal protection equipment, this song with the complementary title by the Allah-Las struck us as an aural balm to get us into the weekend.  Maybe it's their California roots, but their music has echoes of other California bands of an earlier era, like Love, It's A Beautiful Day, and The Grateful Dead.  "Holding Pattern" is the first cut on their October 2019 album, "Lahs."  Hope you enjoy.

Weekend Music Twofer

The Allah-Las, a fine Los Angeles group we've featured before, have a new album out today, "LAHS," from which we're selecting "Polar Onion" as one of our songs.  The second song, a beautiful cover of George Harrison's "Fish on the Sand," was released in 2017 on their EP "Mexican Summer."  Hope you enjoy.

Weekend Song Twofer

The Allah-Las are a Los Angeles quartet whose recently released new album, "Worship the Sun," is receiving a lot of attention. The first song we're featuring, however, is from their self-titled 2012 album; the song's called "Busman's Holiday."  The second song, titled "No Werewolf,"  is an instrumental from their new album.  Follow that?  Yes?  You need another drink.  Enjoy the music and your weekend!
