A real problem is that politics in Trump’s era has taken on a moral dimension that news outlets either aren’t equipped to cover, or think it’s their duty to avoid. And if they avoid it, they avoid their job, which is to accurately represent to their audience what’s happening.

"We Don't Want A Shithole President"

What a shithole excuse for a human being, part infinity:

President Trump grew frustrated with lawmakers Thursday in the Oval Office when they floated restoring protections for immigrants from Haiti, El Salvador and African countries as part of a bipartisan immigration deal, according to several people briefed on the meeting. 

“Why are we having all these people from shithole countries come here?” Trump said, according to these people, referring to countries mentioned by the lawmakers. 

Trump then suggested that the United States should instead bring more people from countries like Norway, whose prime minister he met with on Wednesday. (our emphasis)

To be fair, it probably sounded better in the original German, ja?
