Trump Commutes Fellow Felon Santos' Sentence

 

Convicted felon former Rep. George Santos, alias Kitara Rivache Anthony Zabrovsky, who pleaded guilty to wire fraud and identity theft and was sentenced to seven years in Federal prison, had his sentence commuted yesterday by fellow felon the Malignant Fascist.  From the Associated Press:

"The New York Republican was sentenced in April after admitting last year to deceiving donors and stealing the identities of 11 people — including his own family members — to make donations to his campaign.

He reported to FCI Fairton on July 25 and was housed in a minimum security prison camp with fewer than 50 other inmates. [snip]

During his time behind bars, Santos has been writing regular dispatches in a local newspaper on Long Island, in which he mainly complained about the prison conditions.

In his latest letter, though, he pleaded to Trump directly, citing his fealty to the president’s agenda and to the Republican Party."

In his social media post announcing the commutation, the MF took Santos' words and used them as a justification for commuting his sentence, falsely and bizarrely comparing Santos' crimes to Sen. Richard Blumenthal's misstatements on his military service during the Vietnam War, which the MF dodged with a false diagnosis of bone spurs:

"George Santos was somewhat of a “rogue,” but there are many rogues throughout our Country that aren’t forced to serve seven years in prison. I started to think about George when the subject of Democrat Senator Richard “Da Nang Dick” Blumenthal came up again. [snip]

His War Hero status, and even minimal service in our Military, was totally and completely MADE UP. This is far worse than what George Santos did, and at least Santos had the Courage, Conviction, and Intelligence to ALWAYS VOTE REPUBLICAN! George has been in solitary confinement for long stretches of time and, by all accounts, has been horribly mistreated. Therefore, I just signed a Commutation, releasing George Santos from prison, IMMEDIATELY. Good luck George, have a great life!" 

So the message from the MF to the public is that if you are slavishly loyal to him and ALWAYS VOTE REPUBLICAN, you can be assured of a thumb on the scales of justice, like the crooks below,  like the January 6 insurrectionists, and perhaps like Ghislaine Maxwell in the near future.  Now Santos is free to continue grifting, just as his patron does every day.  Game recognizes game.

Santos Getting Classified Briefing On China Threats

What could possibly go wrong?

Liar, swindler, and as Sen. Mitt Romney said, "sick puppy" Rep. George "Kitara" Santos will be part a classified briefing today as a member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, despite objections from Dems and national security experts. The briefing will cover threats from China, including intelligence related to their balloon that was shot down earlier this week. 

Santos, who has gone by several aliases, is under multiple Federal and state investigations including campaign finance violations, securities fraud, defrauding a veteran seeking medical care for his dog, as well as an investigation in Brazil regarding check fraud. The Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) pointed out last month in a letter to Congress that Santos is a security risk:

“'Santos’s serial misrepresentations of the truth about a vast array of subjects have demonstrated an astonishing level of untrustworthiness,' said CREW President Noah Bookbinder. 'It would be a threat to our national security to allow him to serve on any committee where he would gain access to national intelligence.' [snip]

'It defies logic to think that someone who has lied about nearly everything about himself should receive access to our nation’s most guarded secrets simply because he was elected to Congress,' Bookbinder said." (our emphasis)

Waving off obvious concerns about national security, spineless House Squeaker Kevin "Qevin" McCarthy decided to let Santos attend today's briefing. Any negative repercussions from that decision are on him.

Lying con man and symbol of the Republican / Seditionist / Christofascist party Rep.-elect George Santos (or whatever his name is) stands at the rear of the House chamber as the votes for Speaker are tallied. He looks forlorn and friendless as local and Federal prosecutors look into his financial disclosure statements and his trail of numerous deceptions. In addition, Brazilian authorities have revived a 2008 fraud case against him in Rio De Janeiro. He won't get sworn in until there's a Speaker elected, and depending on what investigators find, he may not serve his entire term.

"Lost in the 'Catch Me If You (Oh, you already did!)' tale of George Santos is what it says about how infected the Republican Party is with Trumpism. Santos may be a pathological liar in his own right, but Trump developed the party faithful’s taste for liars and for shameless lying. That craving will outlast Trump. He’s modified the party’s DNA to match his, and Santos, Kari Lake, Team Kraken, and the rest of MAGA world suggest he’s replicating himself.

"Is it any coincidence that Santos named his firm the Devolder Organization just as Donald Trump did with his?" --  Tom Sullivan, Hullabaloo, asking "Is Trump Replicating Himself?"  Sullivan answers himself:  it's already happened, and it's called the Republican/ Seditionist Party.

 

Liar Santos And His Financial Disclosure Statement

Lying fraudster Rep.-elect George "Liar-ish" Santos (R-NY) is on the apology tour for making up his entire resume, including the fact that he's not, as he put it, "Jew-ish." The family history, the education, the work experience, the properties he supposedly owned, all were blatant lies ("embellishments" as he called them to downplay it). 

However, it appears that there's more to the scandal in the way of the financial disclosure statement that's required by Federal law, and false statements are punishable under the law. As we've seen, Santos is a pathological liar, so why would such statements be beyond his lying. Brendan Buck, a Republican aide to former Speaker John Boehner, explained the situation with his financial disclosure statements on MSNBC this morning:

"You have to file that when you run for office. He ran before, he ran two years ago and apparently filed that he had no accounts or assets worth more than $5,000. This time around, it was apparently worth around $11 million or $12 million. Where did that happen? Where did that come from? Is that true?

Filing a false financial disclosure is actually a crime. The ethics committee is absolutely going to look at this, I think law enforcement may look at this. The other thing is, he apparently loaned his committee $700,000 from himself. Where did he get $700,000? There's a lot of really interesting questions that we haven't gotten to the bottom of."

It's unlikely that Santos has an honest answer for any of this, and he can't dispute what he's sworn to in black and white. As far as law enforcement is concerned, the New York Attorney General's office is reviewing Santos' records for any State law for any violations, and appropriate Federal agencies are likely also looking into his financial disclosure statements by now (see here).  However, the odds of a House ethics committee review under the Speakership of Kevin "Qevin" McCarthy are vanishingly small, as he's trying to hold a slim majority and not offend his corrupt and radical caucus, who won't want distractions from "investigating" Hunter Biden's laptop.

"Liar Rep.-Elect George Santos Admits Fabricating Key Details Of His Bio" *

 

 

Let's catch up with a man with a promising future in the Republican/ Seditionist Party:

Long Island Rep.-elect George Santos came clean to The Post on Monday, admitting that he lied on the campaign trail about his education and work experience — but insisting that the controversy won’t deter him from serving out his two-year term in Congress.

Wait, this is the Washington Post, right?  No?  Rupert Murdoch's New York Post?!  Do go on:

“I am not a criminal,”* Santos said at one point during his exclusive interview. “This [controversy] will not deter me from having good legislative success. I will be effective. I will be good.”

Santos’s professional biography was called into question earlier this month after the New York Times reported that he misrepresented a number of claims, including where he attended college and his alleged employment history with high-profile Wall Street firms.

“My sins here are embellishing my resume. I’m sorry,” Santos said on Monday.

If by "embellishing" you mean "lied shamelessly about."

Santos confessed he had “never worked directly” for Goldman Sachs and Citigroup, chalking that fib up to a “poor choice of words.”

The 34-year-old now claims instead that a company called Link Bridge, where he worked as a vice president, did business with both of the financial giants.  

“I will be clearer about that. It was stated poorly,” Santos said of the lie.

"Lie."  Even the New York Post has bright lines (possibly).  The "limited hangout" carnage continues:

He also admitted that he never graduated from any college, despite previously claiming to have received a degree from Baruch in 2010.

“I didn’t graduate from any institution of higher learning. I’m embarrassed and sorry for having embellished my resume,” he said. “I own up to that … We do stupid things in life.”

Santos, elected to Congress on Nov. 8 to represent the Long Island- and Queens-based 3rd District, was also accused of lying about his family history, saying on his campaign website that his mother was Jewish and his grandparents escaped the Nazis during World War II. 

Santos now says that he’s “clearly Catholic,” but claimed his grandmother told stories about being Jewish and later converting to Catholicism.

“I never claimed to be Jewish,” Santos said. “I am Catholic. Because I learned my maternal family had a Jewish background I said I was ‘Jew-ish.'”

So, it was another "embell-ish-ment."

Is he also a deadbeat?  Do bears shit in the woods?  Are Republicans lawless hypocrites?

Santos also acknowledged being a deadbeat tenant in Sunnyside, Queens, where The Times reported he was ordered by a judge to pay more than $12,000 to a former landlord who claimed non-payment of several months of rent — as well as that Santos had tried to pass a check that bounced.

On Monday, Santos claimed that at the time of the lawsuit, his family was deep in medical debt from his mother’s cancer battle.

“We were engulfed in debt,” he said. “We had issues paying rent at the time. It’s the vulnerability of being human. I am not embarrassed by it.” 

Santos said his mother died of cancer on Dec. 23, 2016, after living with him at the Queens apartment and acknowledged the judgment against him.

Asked if he ever actually paid the arrears, Santos admitted: “We didn’t pay it off. I completely forgot about it.”  

Santos also admitted to lying when he claimed that he owned 13 different properties, saying he now resides at his sister’s place in Huntington but is looking to purchase his own place. 

We won't bother with stories about his sexual orientation (Santos says he's gay, but it could be he's just "gay-ish").  Without question, he's a deeply disturbed person (but then again, so is the leader of his party).  So, in conclusion, his future in Republican politics is bright.  Welcome to the Republican caucus, Mr. Santos (if that's your real name)!
