It's been a while since we've featured Canadian alt- country singer-songwriter Kathleen Edwards, but her new album "Billionaire" is due to be released in August, and she has a pre-release single, "Save Your Soul," a beautiful, mid-tempo anthem.  The song was co- produced by Jason Isbell and Gena Johnson, and Isbell also plays that resonant electric guitar on the cut.  (Btw, Edwards was once involved with Bon Iver's Justin Vernon, this week's Mid-Week song artist;  just a coincidence!)  Hope you enjoy!

Canadian singer Kathleen Edwards isn't known well in the U.S., but that may change with the release of her well-received album "Voyageur," which was co-produced by her new companion, Bon Iver's Justin Vernon. Here's a cut from that album, "Empty Threat."
