Mid-Week Song

Los Angeles-based indie band Lord Huron released their latest album, "The Cosmic Selector,Vol. 1", their fifth, on July 18.  Their mix of folk, pop and country genres has built a good following since their debut album "Lonesome Dreams" in 2012.  Here's "Watch Me Go" from their latest release.

Weekend Music Twofer

LA indie band Lord Huron has a catchy new single out, "Nothing I Need," their second release after several years of touring.

Also, we must note that 61 years ago this week, The Beatles held the top 5 places on the U.S. singles Hot 100 chart, with  No. 5 "Please Please Me,"  No. 4 "I Want to Hold Your Hand," No. 3, "Roll Over Beethoven," No. 2 "Love Me Do," and No. 1 "Can't Buy Me Love."  They also had 9 other singles on the chart that week, for a total of 14 top 100 songs.  To mark the occasion of skipping dipshit co-President Musk's $25 million failure to buy the Wisconsin Supreme Court election, "Can't Buy Me Love" is our second song today.  Enjoy!

Weekend Music

LA- based (but Michigan- rooted) Lord Huron, who we've featured several times over the past few years, released its fourth studio album, "Long Lost," in May.  "Mine Forever" is a cut on that was released several months before the album, and displays the "high-lonesome" sound they've become known for.  Hope you enjoy.

Indie folk band Lord Huron, originally from Michigan but now LA- based, is set to release a new album, "Long Lost," next month, but has already released several singles from it,  including the two we're featuring today, the album's title song and "Not Dead Yet."  Hope you enjoy.

Mid-Week Night's Over Song

We last posted about LA-based indie band Lord Huron last fall, featuring a song from their 2015 album, "Strange Trails." They have a new album out, "Vide Noir," and today's song is track from that album, the slow rhythm "When The Night Is Over," about which songwriter Ben Schneider said,We wanted this song to feel something like a Raymond Chandler story, a desperate search through a rain-soaked, neon-lit city." Enjoy.

Weekend Woods Music

We've featured Los Angeles based (but Michigan- inspired!) indie folk band Lord Huron several times here. Their 2015 album "Strange Trails" is where today's hauntingly beautiful selection "Meet Me In The Woods" comes from. Hope you enjoy (h/t Michigander Miss Melinda).

Mid-Week Song

LA-based indie folk band Lord Huron's new album "Strange Trails" was released earlier this spring. One of the many good tracks from the album is our mid-week song, "Fool For Love."  Enjoy.
