You Can't Make This Stuff Up

From a Kaplan Daily article about the fundraising totals of President Obama and his Rethug rivals:

"Gingrich, whose presidential bid imploded earlier this summer amid mass resignations and financial problems, reported $1 million in debt — about half of which is owed to Moby Dick Airways, a charter jet service."

Pennies for Poot

Right-wing Rethuglican gasbag Newt "Poot" Gingrich seems to be fading in the fundraising department. According to the Federal Election Commission, in the first three months of 2011, Poot raised a pathetic $53,000. That's a big drop-off from last year, and may reflect the Rethug base's fickle pursuit of the newest shiny object (see, Donald "Rump" Trump) out of disenchantment with their potential Presidential lineup.

Given Poot's all-consuming ambition and his ruthless treatment of past wives, maybe he'll be dumping wife #3 and looking for a wealthy heiress as wife #4. After all, it worked for AZ Sen. John McAngry.
