Jon Stewart had a segment on "The Daily Show" last night that covered the nomination battle over Dr. Vivek Murthy, a Harvard medical instructor and medical technology entrepreneur, to be the next Surgeon General. In short, Murthy's nomination is facing intense opposition from NRA-beholden Senators who found Murthy's past statements about gun safety as a public health issue a reason to go to battle stations.
