One telltale sign of the Rethuglicans' cynical desperation is their frequent name-checking of tea bagger Sens. Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz to appear Hispanic-friendly. For decades -- at least going back to St. Ronnie of Hollywood -- the Rethugs see politics as crafting images and selling "products", i.e. candidates. Their reactionary politics behind the facade don't change, only the sales people.

"Clearly we weren't conservative enough." BWAHAHAHA!

We're hearing a lot these days about Rethugs focusing on "messaging" and "outreach" and other tactical concerns. They don't want to recognize the cancer at the heart of their party -- the intolerant, ignorant, loony tea bagger base -- and the fact that the tea bagger base needs to be fed its diet of delusion, paranoia and hatred by the "conservative entertainment complex" to remain part of the Rethug / New Confederate Party.

BONUS: That base we're talking about has been expressing itself on an almost daily basis in the Kaplan Daily's Letters to the Editor. If anyone thought Willard's "47%" yammer to his plutocrat friends was an anomaly, think again. Here's today's dose of "class warfare - wingnut style."
