Mid-Week New York Song

Alt-rock icon, musician and song writer St. Vincent (a.k.a. Annie Clark) has won album of the year and Grammy award honors since launching her solo career in 2006. Currently on her "Fear The Future" tour, she released this ballad to lost love and the changes in her adopted city several weeks ago, "New York." (Advisory- she drops the mf bomb multiple times.)

Mid-Week Saintly Song

With her latest album "St. Vincent" garnering a Grammy for Best Alternative Music Album, among other awards, singer / songwriter / musician St. Vincent (the performing name for Annie Clark) is on an artistic roll.  Here she is in a recent live performance on the Canadian Broadcasting Company's "Studio Q" program, singing "Prince Johnny."  Enjoy.

Mid-Week Cheerleader Song

St. Vincent (the stage name of Annie Clark) is a well-regarded singer/songwriter/guitarist, who has recently teamed up and is touring with R&R Hall of Famer David Byrne (Talking Heads), promoting their new CD, "Love This Giant." Here she is on an earlier solo effort, with lyrics that could fit a lot of Rethug operatives these days.
"I've played dumb
When I knew better
Tried so hard
Just to be clever
I know honest thieves
I call family
I've seen America
With no clothes on
But I don't wanna be a cheerleader no more"
