Circular Firing Squad Forms Between DHS, White House

 

The finger-pointing and blame-shifting between the murderous incompetents at DHS =cough= "Ice Barbie" Kristi Noem =cough= and the murderous incompetents at the White House =cough= Stephen "Peewee Goebbels" Miller =cough= has apparently begun.  We're hoping for mass casualties:

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem is chalking up her actions in office to the direction of President Donald Trump and Homeland Security Advisor Stephen Miller.

Noem, Miller, and others in the administration have faced backlash over their description of the circumstances surrounding federal agents shooting and killing 37-year-old Alex Pretti in Minneapolis on Saturday. Noem and others claimed Pretti wanted to “massacre” agents before the confrontation. Administration officials have pointed to the fact that Pretti was armed as proof of his malicious intentions, but Second Amendment activists have consistently pushed back against this.

Pretti’s death followed an ICE agent shooting and killing 37-year-old mother Renee Good in the same city earlier this month. The city is currently suing the administration over ICE’s deployment.

Miller previously referred to Pretti as an “assassin.”  [snip]

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt called Miller one of the president’s closest allies amid rumors of a rift between Noem and Miller.

“Stephen Miller is one of President Trump’s most trusted and longest-serving aides. The president loves Stephen,” she said.

“Everything I’ve done, I’ve done at the direction of the president and Stephen,” Noem reportedly said to someone who relayed her comment to Axios.

The report from Axios suggests there was a great amount of confusion surrounding Pretti’s death in the White House. Officials told the outlet that Border Patrol officers told the White House that Pretti brandished a gun before being shot, but this claim is contradicted by video evidence. Some White House officials reportedly took issue with the official statement going out, as they were not briefed on all of the details surrounding the shooting before it was published.

“Others within the White House attempted to clean up the DHS statement prior to it being sent, but it had already been disseminated,” a source familiar with the situation told Axios.

Translation from the original German:  "I was just following orders."

Calls for ICE Barbie to resign or be impeached over her handling of the brutal DHS actions across the country, but specifically following the murders in Minneapolis of Renee Nicole Good and (premeditated murder of?) Alex Pretti, have mounted in the past 48 hours.  The demonstrable, vicious lies both she and "Commandant" Greg "Little Man Looking for a Balcony" Bovino, with the encouragement of Peewee Goebbels, backfired to the extent that the monster moron responsible for all of this killing and mayhem -- the Malignant Fascist -- has tried to turn down the temperature by sending "border czar" Tom Homan to Minnesota and giving Bovino the jackboot out of Minnesota (and into retirement?).  

Of course, what's really needed, but won't happen (now), is for ICE to be abolished, the Border Patrol purged, and the fascist killers and and everyone in the chain of command to be prosecuted to the maximum extent of the law.

Stephen Miller's Role In The Afghan Immigration Mess

 

 

Amid the Republican- wired mainstream media's persistent narrative blaming the Biden Administration for the slow processing of Special Immigrant Visas for Afghan nationals, here's a fact that they'll never focus on or will quickly memory hole:

As the United States potentially abandons tens of thousands of Afghans who helped two decades of military and diplomatic efforts there to the mercies of the Taliban, a single person may deserve more credit than any other: top Trump White House aide and immigration foe Stephen Miller.

Miller, who worked for all four years as former President Donald Trump’s immigration adviser pushing restrictive policies across the board, was instrumental in slowing down the processing of Special Immigrant Visas (SIV) for Afghan interpreters, embassy staff and others who are now top targets for Taliban assassination, according to both refugee advocates and those who have worked with him.

“The seeds of the insanity that we’re seeing right now were planted in Stephen Miller‘s brain,” said Matt Zeller, a former Army officer who served in Afghanistan and co-founded the group No One Left Behind, adding that Miller is as much to blame for the deaths of interpreters and others as the Taliban themselves. “He’s complicit in their murders ... He’s brilliant at how evil he is.”  (our emphasis)

Yes, skeevy racist Stephen Miller, who had his hand in every decision involving immigration in the malignant former guy's assministration, including the children in cages policy. As the article notes, Miller is still engaged in whipping up anti- immigrant fear, claiming an influx of Afghan refugees resulting from the malignant former guy's pact with the Taliban would be dangerous for America (and that they don't deserve to be here anyway):

... [O]n Monday, he claimed that most of the Afghans arriving do not deserve the opportunity. “The vast majority of those being evacuated had no role in the U.S. war effort,” he wrote. “As I warned from the outset, Biden is using his disastrous Afghanistan exit — and a gullible media — as the pretext for large-scale resettlement of unvetted Afghan refugees throughout the U.S.”

Of course, the pathological liar must know that the refugees will be vetted before they arrive in the U.S. The critical need is to get as many, if not all, of the Afghans who must leave their country out now. Those that can be admitted to the U.S. are arriving, and those that await further processing are being housed abroad.

But, it all comes back to what former Army cavalry officer Spencer Sullivan said about Miller's role in jamming up the SIV program:

“My guess is that is in line with Stephen Miller’s policy of keeping brown people out of the country.”

Good guess. 

 

Trumpers: Release Detained Immigrants In Sanctuary Cities As Political Retaliation (UPDATED)

 Just when you think they can stoop no lower --

White House officials have tried to pressure U.S. immigration authorities to release detainees onto the streets of “sanctuary cities” to retaliate against President Trump’s political adversaries, according to Department of Homeland Security officials and email messages reviewed by The Washington Post.

Trump administration officials have proposed transporting detained immigrants to sanctuary cities at least twice in the past six months — once in November, as a migrant caravan approached the U.S. southern border, and again in February, amid a standoff with Democrats over funding for Trump’s border wall.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s district in San Francisco was among those the White House wanted to target, according to DHS officials. The administration also considered releasing detainees in other Democratic strongholds.  (our emphasis)

The vicious little scheme was proposed twice, once in November 2018 and again in February this year:

The White House told U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement that the plan was intended to alleviate a shortage of detention space but also served to send a message to Democrats. The attempt at political retribution raised alarm within ICE, with a top official responding that it was rife with budgetary and liability concerns, and noting that “there are PR risks as well.”

After the White House pressed again in February, ICE’s legal department rejected the idea as inappropriate and rebuffed the administration.  (our emphasis)

As you might guess, the main proponent of the scheme was twisted, spray- on hair fascist Stephen "Dead Eyes" Miller who, if there's any justice left in the world, should some day be hauled into The Hague and tried for crimes against humanity.  The story would remain untold were it not for several whistleblowers at the Department of Homeland Security.  Thankfully, there are still some people with a conscience working there.  May they continue to resist the evil.

Stephen Miller And The Bullhorn Racism Of Republicans And The Trump Regime

Morally rotted- out Republicans are working overtime to weaponize racial animosity in falsely framing the discussion around the continuing resolution and Dreamers/ DACA.  Since the vast majority of Americans (87%) want to keep Dreamers in this country, Republican white nationalists have decided to ignore the popular case for Dreamers and are going directly to flogging racist stereotypes that have nothing to do with extending protections to people who were brought into this country as children. Surprise, surprise!

Specifically, you may have seen this vile piece of racist misdirection from "Donald J. Trump for President" (or you may just want to take our word for it and skip it):




On Sunday's talk shows, when confronted with this steaming pile of un- American crap, former Koch brothers executive and current Man Baby's legislative affairs director Marc Short offered a mealy- mouthed non- disavowal.  Koch- coin- operated spineless weasel Rep. Paul "Lyin'" Ryan didn't have the courage to denounce the ad either. The lesson, once again, is that we should expect nothing less from the neo- fascists busily dividing us and undermining our democracy.

This thing makes the Willie Horton ad from 1988 look like Live From Lincoln Center. It is the equivalent of all those one-minute speeches from the House—unmoored from the facts, sailing aloft on hot rage and molten ignorance, and that is the state of play as the first business day of the shutdown comes along. There is madness abroad in the land. There are those who can coin it into advantage, which makes it effective, but no less mad.

So, with this level of mendacity to deal with, in addition to the ignorant Man Baby (a.k.a., "Cadet Bone Spurs")who's apparently swayed by the last person to see him, hopes for a resolution are as dim as Man Baby himself.  It's being reported in fact that Man Baby's staff are desperately trying to keep him out of the debate to avoid further damage to their distract and misdirect campaign.

One of the last people to see Man Baby when it comes to immigration is that vicious malignancy Stephen Miller. Yesterday, South Carolina Republican Sen. Lindsey "Huckleberry" Graham identified him as a specific reason why a deal on Dreamers/ DACA continues to get sabotaged:

"Every time we have a proposal it is only yanked back by staff members. As long as Stephen Miller is in charge of negotiating immigration, we're going nowhere," the senator told reporters.

In a statement attributed to White (Supremacist) House spokesperson Hogan Gidley (!), but sounding an awful lot like Miller's puerile "I'm rubber, you're glue..." mentality, Huckleberry's words were tossed back at him:

"As long as Sen. Graham chooses to support legislation that sides with people in this country illegally and unlawfully instead of our own American citizens, we're going nowhere. He’s been an outlier for years,” White House spokesman Hogan Gidley said in a statement Sunday night, according to several reports.

Sounds like we have a new candidate for the White (Supremacist) House's Adult Day Care ("Now, Hogan! Play nice! No taunting Lindsey!").

Make no mistake:  white nationalist Republicans want as little immigration as possible, and as for those already in the country who are contributing to making America better and stronger, they want them out. They'll stoop to the most blatant misdirection and racist tactics (with help from their Russian handlers -- see below) to achieve that goal, as we're now seeing in plain sight.
