Mid-Week Song: Lost In Yesterday

Australia's Tame Impala, fronted and conceived by Kevin Parker, has been featured here several times over the years. Composer and instrumentalist Parker's lush, dreamy melodies always contain memorable hooks, like the kind found on Tame Impala's latest album, "The Slow Rush," released in late February. A track from that album is our song for today. Enjoy.

Weekend Music

Aussie band Tame Impala's lush, dreamscape songs are written and produced in the studio by lead member Kevin Parker.  Once the song is recorded by Parker, the other band members learn their parts for live performances.  This is a new single just released a few weeks ago, "Borderline."  Hope you enjoy.

We've featured the Australian rock group Tame Impala now several times.  This is a song from their 2015 album "Currents," entitled "The Less I Know The Better."  It's composer describes it as having a "dorky, white disco funk."  We just think, as they used to say, it has a good beat and you can dance to it ;-)

We've featured the Australian rock group Tame Impala previously (h/t San Francisco Bureau Chief Shauna).  They've been touring the U.S. (just had them in the Washington, D.C., area in fact) and, in a little over a month, they'll be releasing their new album "Currents."  This is a short but sweet advance cut from that album entitled "Disciples."  Enjoy it and your weekend!
