Long Ago And Far Away (Cont.)

This is colorized film showing Cork, Ireland, in 1902, when Ireland was part of the UK.  This look at life in the Cork region is of special interest to us since some of our ancestors emigrated from County Cork in the 19th Century.  Hope you enjoy a look back 120 years on this Sunday in February 2022.

Long Ago And Far Away (Cont.)

It seems many of you, like us, enjoyed the colorized historical film of 1919 Groningen in the Netherlands. So, here's a colorized film of street scenes in 1930's pre- WWII Warsaw, Poland -- which, it must be noted, was virtually leveled by the Nazis (with the complicity of the Soviet Russians) as they retreated on the Eastern Front in 1945. Nearly all of what you see in this film -- people and buildings -- are gone today.
