Station Pulls Plug On Racist Host

After losing his Congressional seat to wounded Iraq veteran Tammy Duckworth, teatard favorite and clueless blowhard Joe "Deadbeat Dad" Walsh landed a gig on WIND-AM radio in the Chicago area.  That was WIND's first mistake.

Letting his teabagger freak flag fly, Walsh got into an on-air rant about the Patent and Trademark Office canceling the "Redskins" trademark.  Putting on his best "oppressed white man" schtick, Walsh went off the rails when he started to use the slurs "n*gg*r" and "sp*ck" to demonstrate his oppressed status as a white racist.  The station then pulled the plug on him, and sent him home.  He apparently finds out later today (5:00 Central time) whether he's suspended or fired (note to clueless Deadbeat Dad:  management likes to wait until close-of-business Fridays to fire people).

Now he'll have another excuse for ducking his child support payments.

BONUS:  Check out Grung E Gene's posting on this sh*tbag's history.  It shouldn't have caught anyone by surprise that Deadbeat did what he did.

"We're Not Racists, We Just Do Racist Things!"

The latest evidence of teatard racism comes from Orange County, CA, where a member of the Orange County Rethuglican Central Committee and avowed teatard leader, Marilyn "Monkey Business" Davenport, sent out an e-mail with a Photoshopped picture of a chimpanzee mom and dad with baby Obama. It was so deeply offensive and racist that even Rethug officials in California called for Monkey Business' resignation. Instead what we got was an initial statement that she was "joking," followed by an "apology" and a refusal to resign her post. And yet, all we hear from the teatards is, "we're not racist, we just want to cut gummint spending!" (Strange that they were silent during Dumbya's running the debt up).

The anti-Obama rage of the teatard movement is typically interpreted by the mainstream media as purely a reaction to gummint spending and the debt. We know better, because the teatards themselves are telling us differently.

Party Poopers

As we noted on Monday, the NAACP wasn't exactly swift in condemning the racist strains in the tea party "movement" and calling out the likes of Winky and Dick "Major Dick" Armey to condemn the racist behavior of a number of party followers. The wording of the NAACP resolution was also fairly mild, not condemning the "movement" as a whole, but saying that the leadership should make it clear that racists are not welcome (but that might force a collapse of the movement -- editor's note).

Almost immediately after the NAACP's challenge was issued, the wingnut right rose in phony outrage, twisting the NAACP's words into a blanket condemnation, or in Winky's case, a personal attack. Not surprisingly, they've chosen to use the issue for political purposes, rather than deal with the issue itself. E. J. Dionne has a great op-ed piece exposing the right-wing's bob-and-weave tactics.
