"Abuse Of Power"

An investigative report released yesterday concluded that Gov. You Betcha abused her power as governor in seeking the removal of her ex-brother in law from the Alaska State Police. The 263 page report wraps up weeks of investigation, and concludes that You Betcha violated state ethics laws in using her power for personal purposes. The investigation had been authorized by a bipartisan committee of the Alaska State Senate, and was approved for release by a unanimous vote of 8 Republicans and 4 Democrats. You Betcha and her husband kept changing the story as to why State Public Safety Commissioner Walt Monegan was terminated; now it's evident that he was fired because he refused to remove the ex-brother in law from his position.

We already have seen an Assministration that is contemptuous of the law, and that believes that laws are meant only to serve them. Now, we have a candidate for vice president who apparently thinks the same way. One of many reasons why You Betcha's unqualified for that office.
