The whole raison d'etre of the "Tea Party" astroturf movement is embedded in their name (Taxed Enough Already). OBS (Obama Derangement Syndrome) also comes to mind. Nonetheless, one would think (hope?) that a group galvanized by a single issue would have a pretty good understanding of that issue, right?
Er... wrong. That's not just our opinion, but pretty well sums up the opinion of a former Reagan Treasury Department official and conservative think-tanker, Bruce Bartlett. Something tells us even if they understood taxes -- and that the vast majority of them probably got a Federal tax cut last year and aren't overtaxed by industrialized nation standards anyway -- they would be mad anyway because of the brown islamocommiefascist Dimmycrat in the White House.
