Is It Hot Enough For You?

A massive island of ice has broken off from Greenland, according to scientists at the University of Delaware. The island is reported to be 4 times the size of Manhattan, or some 100 square miles. Amazingly, the ice block contains enough fresh water to provide tap water for the U.S. for 120 days. So what are the conclusions being drawn?
"Environmentalists say ice melt is being caused by global warming with Arctic temperatures in the 1990s reaching their warmest level of any decade in at least 2,000 years, according to a study published in 2009.

Current trends could see the Arctic Ocean become ice free in summer months within decades, researchers predict."
We suspect global warming deniers like the porcine pontificator Pills Limballs and Oklahoma Rethug wingnut James "Head-In-Ass" Inhofe will see this simply as a sign that the Arctic is turning out more ice for us, much like a refrigerator's ice maker. Yeah, that's the ticket!
