Department of Directions

The leader of al Qaeda in East Africa and the mastermind of the bombings of the U.S. Embassies in Kenya and Tanzania in 1998, Fazul Abdullah Mohammed, was shot and killed this weekend when he took a wrong turn and tried to avoid a Somali government checkpoint.
“This was lucky,” a Somali security official said Saturday night. “It wasn’t like Fazul was killed during an operation to get him. He was essentially driving around Mogadishu and got lost.”
Just another guy who won't ask for directions. . .
