There was a time in America when the labor of working people was held up as an example of American values, as opposed to the social Darwinism of some of today's so-called "job creators." Hedrick Smith writes about it in today's New York Times, and it's worth reading.
May we always honor the work of America's wage earners, and safeguard the gains they've made over the past century.
