Temperature Rising On The Korean Peninsula

The Defense Department announced yesterday that it was positioning anti-missile defenses on Guam in response to continuing bellicose threats from North Korea, which has declared "the moment of explosion is coming fast,"  threatening an attack on the U.S. This follows North Korea's positioning of a long-rang missile on its east coast and the closing of a joint North and South Korean industrial zone for the second day, a move that cuts off the last remaining venture between the two countries.

North Korea has also indicated that it intends to restart the nuclear facility at Yongbyon, which would give it the capability to produce weapons-grade plutonium.
