Professional nincompoop and former Governor-who-quit-midterm Sarah "Winky" Palin is apologizing -- in a way -- for her statement the other day that Pope Francis was "liberal." Saying it was "not her intention" to criticize the Pope, Winky suggested she was only going on "media reports." Riiight!
Almost all of the time, Winky has no idea what she's talking about, but if being "liberal" means putting an emphasis on feeding the poor and healing the sick, over policing contraception and defending the powerful, then maybe she has a point.
