April's Big Job Numbers

The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that April's new jobs number reached 288,000, bringing the unemployment rate down to 6.3%, a figure not seen in nearly 6 years.  The number was 70,000 jobs over what had been forecast by economist earlier in the week.  In addition, March's jobs number was revised upward from 192,000 to 203,000.

This will undoubtedly help Dems who are up for reelection in November, assuming the job creation numbers continue to improve.  It also helps to undermine the Rethuglican tale about "Obamacare" costing jobs, given the jobs figures were coterminous with the initial enrollment period, March-April. The "free market", which the Rethugs love to tout, apparently isn't showing the fear that the Rethugs hoped to sow.
