In an interview with CNN's Don Lemon, Donald "Rump" Trump, the true voice of the Republican base's bigoted id, was misrepresenting accounts of rape occurring to female immigrants in their journey to the U.S., falsely implying that rapists were crossing the border. When Lemon pointed that the story Rump referred to was about the incidence of women being raped and not about rapists crossing the border, Rump's comeback was:
“Somebody’s doing the raping! You can’t say ‘it’s just women being raped.’Who’s doing the raping? Who’s doing the raping?”Which, in turn, gave The Daily Show's Jon Stewart an idea for Rump's new campaign slogan:
