The sadly predictable and offensive demonization of American Muslims by Rethuglican politicians may have reached its apex (but probably not) with narcissist thug Donald "Rump" Trump's suggestion that U.S. citizens who are Muslim should be required to register with the government, and loony Ben "Mental Ben" Carson's comment that likened Syrian refugees to "rabid dogs." Both slurs give ISIS a significant propaganda tool to try to convince worried Muslims that everyone of their faith is under attack by "Crusaders." And we have a year to go before the 2016 elections.
UPDATE: Rump's bigotry isn't limited to Muslims, as we know. After his followers beat up a lone Black Lives Matter protester at a rally in Alabama, Rump said, "maybe he should have been roughed up." Not only doesn't he know the Constitution, he doesn't know what assault and battery is.
