Reuters reports that the FBI arrested the despicable drug profiteer Martin "Screw You" Shkreli this morning after a Federal securities fraud investigation of the hedge fund and pharmaceutical companies he managed. Known as "Pharma Bro" for being a hipster poseur, Screw You became notorious earlier this year for jacking up the price of Daraprim, which is used in the treatment of a deadly parasitic infection (ed. - which should be renamed after Shkreli) from $13.50 per tablet to $750 per tablet. Screw You repeatedly defended the price gouging.
Shkreli's history reads like a shell game of shifting investments, companies and schemes. He recently bought a rare copy of a Wu-Tang Clan album for $2 million. Let's hope the securities fraud charges stick, and that they carry with them a very long stretch in prison.
