The very talented jazz singer / bassist Esperanza Spalding began as a child prodigy in her Portland, Oregon home, playing violin with the Chamber Music Society of Oregon at the tender age of five. She went on to win a scholarship at the prestigious Berklee College of Music, and has won five Grammy Awards. Earlier this year, she performed at the White House playing the classic "On The Sunny Side of the Street" for the President and First Lady. Enjoy.
