The Return of the Liz-zard

After her embarrassing run for the Senate in 2014 against fellow Rethuglican Sen. Mike Enzi, the dreadful Liz "Lizzard" Cheney is running for the sole seat for the House of Representatives in Wyoming. She's expected to win the Rethug primary in a crowded field of 8 candidates when the election is held on August 16, and to keep the seat in Rethug hands following the retirement of Rep. Cynthia Lummis. In her ill-fated attempt to grab the Senate seat from 4-term incumbent Enzi in 2014, she alienated the state's Rethuglican establishment and marked herself as arrogant and entitled. Her brief residency in Wyoming after living most of her life in the D.C. suburbs of Northern Virginia, the failure to pay a fishing license, and the betrayal of her own gay sister became issues, not to mention the fact that she had had no experience in elected office, just a short, nepotistic stint at the State Department under daddy (Vice) President Dick "The Dick" Cheney's watchful eye.

If you've ever had the misfortune of seeing Lizzard discuss politics, you know that she's an unusually nasty, bloodless partisan hack who espouses the most extreme positions, often involving foreign policy (in a nutshell: "war good, diplomacy bad"). It looks like her family name and money from daddy's friends will send her to Washington after the general election, which works for Lizzard in that she always wanted to return to her Northern Virginia roots.
