I could cry reading these tweets. I despair for our country.
We're going to begin to turn this around in November. But we need to work at it, be patient but resolute, and good things will happen. These are dark times, but history tells us that the pendulum always swings back. Hang in there!
Countries who have been our allies aren't laughing. I have Canadian friends who commiserate with me and say they can't believe Trump was elected. They know it was a fluke for him to be president and they know we all despise him. Countries who are laughing at us were never our friends. Those who laugh are glad to see us fail because they resented our democracy.
Now I'm not sure we will even have a democracy if the Republicans keep doing what they know will destroy the country.
