Colbert Smacks Hypocritical Rafael "Ted" Cruz

Lying guttersnipe Sen. Ted "Tailgunner Ted" Cruz is up for reelection in November, and he'll be facing a charismatic and popular Dem opponent, Rep. Robert "Beto" O'Rourke. Last night, Stephen Colbert checked out Cruz's newest radio ad, which mocks O'Rourke's nickname Beto, suggesting that he's inauthentic. Of course, Canadian-born Cruz's given name is Rafael Edward Cruz, an irony not lost on Colbert or CNN's Chris Cuomo. Check out Colbert's take down.

  1. Colbert is a standard at our house. He cares not one bit about blowback when he mocks Trump and Republicans. He's smart and he's hilarious.

Jimmy Kimmel is our other favorite. He was unafraid to speak his heart and mind about ACA and the attempts to smash it. Where are we as a country when the late night comedians are the bellwethers for our society? I'm glad for them!

  2. donnah -- They're both amazing, each in their own social commentary, comedic way. May they long rule the airwaves.
