In an attempt to distract from the roiling legal and political problems around him, sociopath and lowlife Donald "Rump" Trump had a phone call placed to outgoing Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto regarding a supposed "new" trade agreement, without discussing any details. But the call itself was delayed for an embarrassing few minutes when Very Stable Genius Rump couldn't make the speaker phone connection to Peña (here's the bumbler in action.) Esquire has a humorous take on the screw up here (scroll down to the bottom of the linked article).
It's a shame that the Mexican President felt compelled to play along with the nothingburger "announcement," which was solely for the purpose of giving Rump a distraction from his mounting woes, including fire from all quarters about his petty order to raise the flag over the White (Supremacist) House in one last dig at Sen. McCain.
