Trump Wants To Defy Supreme Court Decision

Appearing to defy his oath of office, and violate the Constitution, sociopath and Russian asset Donald "Individual-1" Trump tweeted a message earlier today that despite a ruling to the contrary by the Supreme Court, he's going full speed ahead on adding a citizenship question to the 2020 Census. Checks and balances, co-equal branches of Government; what's that? He had promised earlier to "delay" the Census, which is a Constitutional requirement every 10 years. Article of impeachment, anyone? Both the Justice Department and the Department of Commerce had said earlier that they would comply with the ruling and not include the citizenship question, which was clearly designed to disadvantage Hispanic and other minority residents in the count.

In another example of cooler heads prevailing, after Trump caved to Chinese President Xi on the Huawei blacklisting matter, the Commerce Department gave the indication that the Chinese telecommunications giant remained on the blacklist for their efforts to undermine U.S. security interests. Expect some serious spin to allow Rump to explain it away.

Another day in Trump's bizarro America, where yes is no, up is down, and Trump's a Very Stable Genius who puts his country above his own interests.

One of two things is happening here: a) Trump is engaging in his usual authoritarian, I Am The King meaningless horseshit or b) his Justice and Commerce depts have said they will leave off the question but are actually going ahead with the including it. After all, this is the most lawless administration in American history and things will only continue to worsen day by day until 11/2020. However, I actuaally lean towards (a) because the (b) alternative has way too many possibilities for leaks along the way.

Jimbo -- We have the same thought about Trump's bluster. He's hoping his red cap cult will lose interest in a matter of days, as he concocts more "emergencies" to fan their anger.
