Majority Favor Trump's Impeachment And Removal

In an echo of a recent Fox poll, Gallup released a poll yesterday that indicates 52% of Americans favor demagogue and con artist Donald "Impeachable Me" Trump's impeachment and removal from office:
"Fifty-two percent of Americans support impeaching and removing Trump from office, while 46% disagree. That's a 7-point increase from when Gallup asked the question in June about impeachment and removal after former special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election. [snip] The level of support for Trump's impeachment is much higher than it ever was for former President Bill Clinton and above that for former President Richard Nixon in all but a final poll taken before the 37th president's resignation, according to the Gallup survey." (our emphasis)
Trump's blatant attempt to influence the 2020 elections by soliciting bogus dirt from Ukraine on his potential opponent former VP Joe Biden and his son in exchange for weapons may be convincing more voters -- including self-identified independent voters -- that Trump represents a threat to fair elections. The poll may also reflect public disgust over Trump's betrayal of our Kurdish allies who fought against ISIS, and who are now under attack by Turkish forces.

The poll was conducted between October 1 - 13 and randomly sampled 1,526 adults in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.
