More Polling: Impeach And Remove Trump (UPDATED)

When your friends at Fox can't skew the numbers, it's bigly bad:
More than half of US voters want President Donald Trump impeached and removed from office, according to a Fox News Poll out on Wednesday.
The poll marks the fourth in two days that showed public opinion is shifting on the impeachment inquiry. A formal impeachment inquiry, launched by the House last month, centers on Trump's July phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, after a whistleblower filed a complaint about the call. A transcript of the conversation released by the White House shows Trump repeatedly pushed Zelensky to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden and his son, Hunter. There is no evidence of wrongdoing by either Joe or Hunter Biden in Ukraine.
The Fox News poll found 51% of registered voters want Trump impeached and removed from office and another 4% want the President impeached but not removed from office. Forty percent of respondents were opposed to impeachment altogether.
The other polls noted (Quinnipiac, WaPo/Schar School, and NBC/WSJ) all found solid and growing support for the impeachment inquiry and for impeachment.  This, before the country hears whistleblower testimony as well as depositions from others with knowledge of Putin- Erdogan puppet Donald "Rump" Trump's abuses of power, obstruction, and betrayal of his oath of office.  If his increasingly unhinged actions to date are any guide, expect further irrational behavior if the dam breaks and his position becomes more untenable.

Meanwhile, Trump is so unnerved by the fast- shifting political terrain that he's been calling Moscow Mitch McConnell as much as three times a day to check on and warn him about any defections in the ranks of the rotted- out Republican Senate.  We're not convinced there are 20 of those spineless weasels that would ever vote for removal, but having even a few defections would greatly enhance the political impact.

UPDATE:  As you might expect, the poll from Rump's own GOP-TV has sent him into a mini- Twitter rage -- because he has nothing more important to do.

Republicans are wholly responsible for Trump. They own this disaster of a president and now that he's going full-on insane, they're struggling to rein him in. He's their Frankenstein monster and while the rest of us see him burning down our village, the Republicans are scrambling to keep him in the castle. Nothing to see here, he's perfectly normal, he's not commiting any crimes.

Now they are desperate to get through til next November, keep him in office, fend off criminal proceedings, and by using rigged elections get him back for a second term. It's a nightmare scenario, but it's completely possible. We said what happened in 2016 coukd never happen. Now look at us.

We have to pour on the voter registration, push for voter education, and make sure our representatives are actually representing us. The monsters are running the castle and we have to take it back.
