A few days ago, radical Trumpist and the "dumbest man in Congress" Rep. Louis "Screwy Louie" Gohmert and several other seditionists cooked up a coup attempt. They sued Trump's worshipful towel boy VP Mike "Lord of the Flies" Pence in Federal court to have him disregard the 2020 electoral votes of several swing states and declare demagogue and seditionist Donald "Mango Mussolini" Trump the Dear Leader winner when the Senate convenes for the ceremonial function.
Late yesterday, Pence, through a filing brought by the Justice Department, asked the Federal court to dismiss Gohmert's lawsuit on the basis that it was directed to the wrong party, namely to him and not Congress. The judge in the case, Trump appointee Jeremy Kernodle, has not set a hearing for the plaintiffs. Pence is clearly balking at the sedition planned by Gohmert & Co., which would place him in the position of voiding the election that he lost, a swing toward fascist autocracy that would deny over 81 million Americans their choice of President-elect Biden. Court filings aside, we'll see next Wednesday when he presides for the ceremonial presentation of electoral votes what direction Pence takes.
UPDATE: Judge Kernodle dismissed Screwy Louie & Co.'s seditious coup case, saying he lacked the proper standing to sue Pence. Undeterred, Gohmert says he and his co-conspirators will appeal.
