If you've followed right-wing politics for a while, you'll clearly recognize the name of L. Brent Bozell III, a close colleague and nephew of the late wingnut demi-god William F. Buckley and founder of the right-wing propaganda outfit Media Research Center. He is a frequent contributor to right-wing rags like the New York Post, the Washington Times and the National Review. He's also the father of one of the seditionist domestic terrorists that broke into and trashed the Capitol on January 6.
L. Brent "Bozo" Bozell IV (Jeebus how many more Roman numerals are there?) was captured on numerous videos both outside the Capitol and inside, exulting in his felonious behavior. He was turned in by internet investigators who were tipped off by Bozo's sweatshirt from a Catholic prep school in Pennsylvania. From NPR:
"In an affidavit filed in the case, which remained under seal until Tuesday, an FBI special agent stated that Bozell can be seen in footage inside the Capitol during the rioting on Jan. 6, including for a period of time on the floor of the U.S. Senate. At one point, Bozell allegedly went to the Senate gallery and "moved a camera so that the camera was pointing down to the ground of the balcony area. This was done as protestors began to enter the main floor of the U.S. Senate. By pointing the camera to the ground, the camera was unable to record protestors entering the main floor of the U.S. Senate Chamber."
He's facing Federal charges of obstructing an official proceeding, disorderly conduct, and knowingly entering or remaining in a restricted building. Probably knowing that his thug son was somewhere on the Capitol grounds that day, Bozell III was on Fux "News":
"On the day of the Capitol insurrection, the elder Bozell said on Fox Business that he condemned the violence but said, 'This is an explosion of pent-up outrage from middle America.'
'They are furious that they believe this election was stolen,' he added. 'I agree with them.'" (our emphasis)
So the rotten apple didn't fall far from the rotten tree, or as the Bozell family would say, the IV didn't fall far from the III.
