Dominion's Case Just Got Stronger

The Big Lie told by neo-fascist demagogue and mentally unstable con man Donald "Mango Mussolini" Trump that the election was "rigged" or "stolen" from him undermines the public's trust in our democratic elections, a pillar of our democracy. It was promulgated over and over by a number of his sick followers, including bug-eyed loon Rudy "Toot Toot" Giuliani and manic ex-druggie pillow pusher Mike Lindell, who both defamed Dominion Voting Systems' voting machines in the process. As you know, they and other StormTrumpers are being sued for huge sums by Dominion -- $1.3 billion each -- which had solid defamation cases against them to begin with. That case is becoming stronger by the day, with some jurisdictions cancelling Dominion contracts and proving the damage done by their lying.

In Stark County, Ohio, the board of commissioners rejected the purchase of 1,400 Dominion voting machines, despite the recommendation of its board of elections:

"The county's Board of Elections had recommended the purchase, but the three members voted to withhold the money for the purchase following pressure from supporters of former President Trump, who falsely accused the machines of manipulating vote tallies in President Biden's favor.

For months, local Trump supporters in Stark County, home to Canton, voiced their complaints and beliefs about Dominion voting machines."

In Louisiana, the state has halted the procurement of $100 million worth of voting machines pending a "review" by the Republican-led state legislature aimed at eliminating Dominion from the bidding. Trumpist politicians in the state mounted a fierce campaign to smear the company based on false accusations that the machines were "rigged" (machines which had magically elected them and two Rethug Senators). Dominion has supplied voting machines to Louisiana for years without any controversy.

A lot of defamation suits are hard to prove, but in Dominion's case, the evidence of damages keeps piling up.

BONUS: StormTrumper Lindell is eager to dig himself deeper, saying he's planning to launch a Twitter-type social media platform where he can spout the Big Lie more.  And now the delusional nutcase is telling "election criminals" to "surrender to him".  Get the net!
