Tracking Down The Insurrectionists: Proud Boy Busted

The residents of Stanhope Circle in Collier County, Florida, were awakened in the early morning yesterday by armored vehicles carrying FBI and SWAT team members in military gear who broke down the door of domestic terrorist "Proud Boy" Christopher J. Worrell.  Worrell, who participated in the January 6 seditionist coup at the Capitol, was arrested on various charges related to the riot.

As with many of the loyal StormTrumpers that day, Worrell has had run-ins with law enforcement. In June 2009, Worrell was arrested on felony charges of impersonating a police officer:

"Collier sheriff's deputies arrested a 37-year-old man for impersonating a police officer after he harassed a 23-year-old driver by following her, flashing a badge and yelling at her on Monday night.

Christopher J. Worrell had a loaded handgun, handcuffs, knives, boxes of ammunition, and a fake badge in his possession when deputies arrested him, according to Collier County sheriff's reports."  (our emphasis)

As a Proud Boy, it's possible that Worrell will face conspiracy charges in the January insurrection. FBI agents removed duffel bags of evidence (and probably weapons) from his home yesterday during the raid. He needs to be behind bars for a very long time.
