The Dysfunctional Trumps

Two vignettes illustrative of the dysfunctional collection of damaged parts known as the family of the former guy (a.k.a., the Borgias without the brains):

Who didn't show up to his recent 75th birthday party?

Donald Trump marked his 75th birthday on Monday in a rather low-key way with a dinner at the Trump National Golf Club Bedminster in New Jersey. Son Donald Trump Jr. shared the celebration on his Instagram page revealing a rather interesting guest list — Donald Jr.’s girlfriend Kimberly Guilfoyle, former NFL star Herschel Walker, Indiana congressman Jim Banks and Colorado congresswoman Lauren Boebert. Donald’s wife, Melania, was nowhere to be seen[snip]

The couple has very different hobbies and seems to prefer their independent activities, but no one should read too much into her absence. The source adds that Melania “has a good life and knows it,” so this shouldn’t be seen as a sign that there is trouble in their marriage. [Ed.: they have a "marriage"??] And Trump didn’t have many of his family members in attendance — only Donald Jr. and his girlfriend. Eric and Lara Trump chose to acknowledge his birthday on social media while daughter Ivanka couldn’t be bothered at all.

How warm and loving!  Republican family values! Plus, no mention of daughter Tiffany, who is regularly ignored by the orange narcissist

We can understand Melon's lack of interest in celebrating, given the orange narcissist's ways of celebrating her birthdays. But, how about daughter/ wife Ivanka?  Why couldn't she be bothered to acknowledge her father/ husband's 75th birthday?  Maybe she heard about this other item:

Former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen dished out behind-the-scenes details to The Lincoln Project about Donald’s reported pecking order of which kid should go to jail first. The Disloyal author cited one instance when the former president understood that Donald Jr. and Ivanka could be indicted for some of their business dealings. Donald offered up his oldest son to take the fall and do the prison time because “he can handle it.” (Of course, he doesn’t want either of his children to go to prison if he can help it.)

This news shouldn’t shock anyone because Cohen has said many times before that Donald is willing to throw anyone under the bus to keep himself out of trouble. Just last month, he told MSNBC’s Joy Reid that he’s “going to flip on all of them,” including wife Melania Trump. “He’s going to turn on his accountant and point the finger,” Cohen predicted. “He’s going to say, ‘Don Jr. handled that, Ivanka handled that,” Cohen admitted. “Melania. Don’t take me. Take Melania.’ He’s going to tell them to take everyone except for himself. That’s just the kind of guy he is.”

Ivanka doing time for the orange narcissist?  One thing you can say with some confidence about the genes in the orange narcissist's line is that, when there's no more room to maneuver, they'll turn on each other like the pack of jackals that they are -- though we're speculating that, of the whole bunch, failson Don, Jr., is far too thirsty for his daddy's love and attention to object to going to prison for him (not that he wouldn't sell out his siblings -- watch out half-sister Tiffany!!).
